Dr. Emily Telfair, ND - Naturopathic Physician, Massage Therapist
Dr. Emily earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton with a dual major in Biology and Psychology. Her naturopathic medical training included five years of intensive coursework in science-based natural medicine and clinical rotations with diverse patient populations. While completing her naturopathic training, she also completed training in massage therapy through the Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle, WA. She brings to her practice knowledge and training in clinical nutrition, lifestyle counseling, homeopathy, botanical medicine, and cranio-sacral therapy.
Dr. Emily offers her patients a safe and comfortable space to explore their health holistically as a complement to the care they are receiving from their medical doctors. She has a background in working in hospital-oriented pastoral care, with autistic children and with HIV positive individuals. She welcomes patients of all ages and backgrounds who are in search of a natural and compassionate approach to wellness.
She holds a license for Naturopathic Medicine in Washington State (Maryland does not currently license this profession). She is nationally certified for massage therapy (NCTMB) and licensed by the Maryland State Board of Chiropractors. Dr. Emily also works as a part-time researcher for PinnacleCare International, a reputable healthcare advocacy group based in Baltimore, MD. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the Maryland Association of Naturopathic Physicians (MDANP) and the National Center for Homeopathy (NCH).
