Lisa has been practicing Massage Therapy for 11 years now. She graduated from an accredited massage therapy school in 1999, certified nationally (NCTMB), and licensed by the Maryland State Board of Chiropractors. She is also a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professional (ABMP).
Lisa is trained and certified in Swedish, Deep Tissue Massage, and Trigger Point. These techniques are the foundation for most therapeutic massage sessions. She also incorporates the use of essential oils and custom blends to meet the individual needs of her clients, this adds another healing dimension to the massage. Lisa is certified in Pregnancy Massage and can safely work with women at any point in their pregnancy. She continues her education and training in additional bodywork modalities on an ongoing basis. Lisa has a whole health approach to the work she does, she believes that health is a collaborative effort and that it is a result of harmony between body, mind & spirit. She is dedicated in the therapeutic practice and education of her clients.
Lisa has been interested in health and healing since a young age and has grown and blossomed with her learning process. She graduated from massage school in 1999, and then she was immediately off to the Rocky mountains of Colorado to intensely study herbal medicine for 3 years at the Rocky Mountain School for Botanical Medicine. Through this education she has developed her own herbal oils and an educated use of therapeutic grade essential oils to use during her massage sessions. A few years later she has been back to school in the state of Maryland to study nursing. She feels that the culmination of 13 years of education and dedication to the healing arts has resulted in a heightened sensitivity to her clients body and what it is capable of.
